What it is: Rebates through use of pre-purchased gift certificates.

How it works: Buy gift certificates through the Band Boosters. A percentage of each certificate’s value goes into your family account.

Participating stores: Hundreds of participating merchants including grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations, dept stores, fast food, entertainment & travel in the ScripAdvantage catalog.

Key Points:

§          Large list of familiar merchants where you likely shop and eat

§          Rebates up to 30%.

§          Major grocery stores: Smart & Final, Stater Bros, Vons

§          Your money is tied up for 5 days (Saturday to Thursday).

How to participate:

1.        Obtain a Great Lakes Scrip Retailer List and a Scrip Order Form at booster meetings, or at www.loaraband.org. Retailer lists are also available at www.glscrip.com.

2.        Fill out your order form, and turn in the order and your payment to any scrip home listed on the back of the order form. The weekly cutoff for turning in orders is Saturday, 5:00 pm.

3.        Pick up your order the following Thursday evening.

What it is: Rebates through use of a Vons card or other registered bank ATM or credit card at Vons and other e-Scrip merchants.

How it works: Register your Vons card and/or your debit/credit cards and link them to the Loara Band Boosters (see below). You will automatically receive rebates every time you use these cards when you shop at participating e-Scrip merchants.

How to participate:

1.        Register your Vons card and other debit/credit cards online at www.escrip.com. For the group ID enter 140658878.

2.        Submit the cardholder names and your family account name to the scrip chairperson for proper recording of earnings.

3.        Download the eScrip Merchant Guide at www.escrip.com.

4.        Shop at any eScrip merchant location, or shop from these merchants on-line via the eScrip Online Mall. Be sure to scan your Vons card at Vons, or pay with your registered debit/credit cards at other eScrip merchants.

Suggestions:

§          Ask all of your relatives, friends and co-workers to sign up and register their eScrip Supporter ID’s under your family account. Submit the cardholder names and your family account name to the scrip chairperson for proper recording of earnings.

What it is: Rebates by using your Ralphs Club card.

How it works: No advance purchase is required. You will automatically receive rebates of up to 4% every time you shop at Ralphs.

§          Automatic rebates every time you shop at Ralphs

§          Cards must be re-registered annually

How to participate:

1.        To obtain new or replacement cards at www.ralphs.com.

2.        Link your new or existing Ralphs Club card to the Loara Band Boosters as follows: At the Ralphs.com website, click Community Contribution and follow the instructions for Participant Sign Up. For the NPO number, enter 83143. NOTE: Cards must be re-registered at this site annually.

3.        Submit the cardholder name and your family account name to the scrip chairperson for proper recording of earnings.

4.        When you shop at Ralphs, be sure that your card gets swiped. If your card has been successfully linked you will see the phrase THANKS FOR GIVING TO YOUR COMMUNITY printed at the bottom of your receipt.

Suggestions:

§          Ask all of your relatives, friends and co-workers to also register their Ralphs Club cards to NPO # 83143 via the Ralphs website, or offer to do it for them. Submit the cardholder names and your family account name to the scrip chairperson for proper recording of earnings.

What it is: Rebates through use of your Food 4 Less Community Rewards card.

How it works: No advance purchase is required. You will automatically receive rebates of up to 4% every time you shop at Food 4 Less.

§          Automatic rebates every time you buy groceries at Food 4 Less

§          Cards must be re-registered annually

How to participate:

1.        Obtain a Food 4 Less Community Rewards card from the Loara Band Boosters scrip chairperson at the monthly booster meeting or by phoning or emailing (see contact information at bottom). Note: these cards cannot be obtained at Food 4 Less stores – they are exclusively provided through the Band Boosters.

2.        Link your Ralphs Club card to the Loara Band Boosters via the Internet. At the Food4Less1.com website, click Community Rewards and follow the instructions for Participant Sign Up. For the NPO # enter 83143. NOTE: Cards must be re-registered at this site annually.

3.        Submit the cardholder name and your family account name to the scrip chairperson for proper recording of earnings.

4.        When you shop at Food 4 Less, ask that your Food 4 Less Community Card to be swiped when you begin the check-out process.

Suggestions:

§          Obtain Food 4 Less cards from the scrip chairperson for your relatives, friends and co-workers, and register those cards on their behalf. Submit the cardholder names and your family account name to the scrip chairperson for proper recording of earnings.

What it is: Rebates by using your Albertsons/Sav-On Preferred Savings Card

How it works: Albertsons and Sav-on Drugs will contribute a percentage of each registered Preferred Savings Card eligible monthly purchases, which will be deposited into your family account on a quarterly basis

Key Points:

§          No advance purchases needed

§          Automatic rebates when you shop at Albertsons or Sav-On Drug stores

§          Certain items such as prescriptions, alcohol, tobacco, stamps, money orders, gift cards and lottery tickets are excluded.

How to participate:

1.        Request new or replacement cards at www.albertsons.com.

2.        Link your Preferred Savings Card to the Loara Band Boosters via the Internet. At the bottom of the www.Albertsons.com homepage, click the link to In the Community. On the In the Community page, click the link to Albertsons Community Partners. On the Albertsons Community Partners page, click the link to Shoppers login or register with your Preferred Savings Card first. Click the link to My Account. On that page, click Add a Partner; and enter the 11-digit # 49000126311.

3.        Submit the cardholder name and your family account name to the scrip chairperson for proper recording of earnings.

4.        When shopping at Albertsons/Sav-On, be sure that your card is swiped.
